From Inside to Impact

KUN is not a traditional educational institution. It is the fruit of a journey that spanned continents, a spiritual and physical experience that matured between East and West, to be born in Rome in 2014 as a meeting point between instinct and consciousness, between heritage and modernity, between the inner voice and the societal message.

It was founded by Samer Hassan, the internationally certified coach (MCC) and the first Arabic speaker to win the Young Leader Award from ICF, after a journey spanning more than thirty years in martial and healing arts, and fifteen years in training and human transformation, from Canada to China, and from America to the heart of the Arab world.

KUN came to be a contemporary educational movement, redefining education and learning not as tools or goals, but as a reflective journey that starts from within, rooted in identity, and translates into impact.

At KUN, we see that the true coach is not a tool trainer, but a modern educator. We see education as a call to revive the adult before the child, where intention grows, the body awakens, and presence returns to lead.

Presence is an innate ability we all possess, and it is the root of every skill we learn. To live consciously, we need to observe ourselves and our interactions with life in its moment, as it is, without resistance or escape. At KUN, we strive to be present, where our bodies and intentions are present together in what is happening.

Authenticity is when the mind and body express the same message without contradiction. To live as ourselves, not with inherited reactions, and to deal with ourselves and our societies with transparency and honesty. At KUN, we value what is true in a person, and give them space to be as they are.

To work with perfection, from your heart, not from your desire for the result. At KUN, we offer what we love, with excellence, because the value is in the act itself, not in its return. Excellence is satisfaction in giving, not attachment to the reward.

We cannot fragment the human; body, soul, spirit, and behavior... all interact together. Why did KUN start?

In Samer Hassan's words

When I started my journey in the field of training and self-development twenty years ago, I wasn't looking for ready-made tools or techniques.
But for a way that would bring me back to myself, and not ask me to abandon my roots to develop, or to imitate to appear mature.
KUN was born from a sincere desire to have an authentic educational path, growing from our land, speaking our language, and embracing our values . A path that doesn't reject what comes from outside, but arranges the inside first.
I don't just offer a "methodology", but an invitation to an honest presence with oneself and a rooted awareness that doesn't separate from the spirit, nor neglect the body.
An educational call that returns the human to oneself, to begin their journey, from where they are, not as they are supposed to be.

From Our Journey

KUN is not just an institution, but a journey that started from the body and intention, and crossed continents to redefine education from within. Every station we passed through was not an expansion, but a deeper transformation in vision and practice.

(2000–2013) Before KUN: Search and Travel

From China to Canada to America to Europe, Samer moved between schools of martial arts, healing arts, and coaching, and founded "Dragon Academy" in Cairo as the first center combining physical and mental training for balance and growth. During this time, he formed a vision that embodies the human as an integrated being, not as a functional performance, and established with it the nucleus of the "Somatic Thinking" methodology.

(2014) Rome: Official Establishment of KUN

The first official headquarters of KUN was opened in Rome, where Eastern and Western experiences converged. At this stage, the Somatic Thinking® methodology was established as the mother methodology on which our vision and practice are based. It is an applied educational philosophy that activates the relationship between the body, intention, and awareness, and returns the human to themselves through presence, not through indoctrination or imitation.

(2017) MCC Accreditation from ICF

Samer obtained the Master Certified Coach (MCC) accreditation from the International Coach Federation, becoming the first Arabic speaker to achieve this high classification.

(2018) Launching Our Accredited Program

Accreditation of the Somatic Thinking program as an international training program from ICF, which established the first accredited Arab training path in coaching based on an authentic Arab philosophy.

(2019) Young Leader Award from ICF

Crowning his intellectual and educational journey, Samer received the "Young Leader in Coaching" award from ICF Global, in recognition of his unique vision.

(2019) Egypt: The First Arab Extension

Opening of the KUN branch in Cairo, as an extension of the Rome branch, with the launch of training programs rooted in Arab values, language, and context.

(2022) Iraq: Community Partnership

Partnership with Dr. Khaled Al-Basisi, to launch developmental programs in Iraq, based on the balance between the individual and society, authenticity and creativity.

(2022) Dubai: Strategic Positioning

Moving the main headquarters to Dubai, and launching the digital academic portal, with a focus on the learner's experience, and Gulf and global expansion.

(2024) Jeddah: Launching Educational Paths

In partnership with Coach Reem Bakheet, KUN launched the first integrated educational paths that activate Somatic Thinking in an authentic Saudi environment.

(2024) Abu Dhabi: Announcement of Philosophical Transformation

At the Arab Coaching Summit, Samer launched his call to revive education as a life path, not just a means of teaching. A call to redefine the coach as a contemporary educator, and to develop the adult before the child, to return education to its existential dimension.

(+2025) Towards the Horizon

Every station we passed through was not an expansion, but a deeper transformation in vision and practice. And today, as we plant our roots in a present full of possibilities, we look forward to a future that accommodates what we believe in and embodies what we plant. Where:
- Our complete educational platform is launched.
- "Kinetic Blessing" is accredited as an independent educational approach.
- Our curricula are translated into new languages.
- The KUN Center for Experiential Educational Experience is opened.

The Source of Our Thinking

At KUN, we don't work from a ready-made template, nor do we offer a single methodology to be followed, but we start from a living methodology that breathes and forms with each experience, and integrates with the reality we live in.
The Somatic Thinking® methodology is the mother methodology on which our vision and practice are based. It is an applied educational philosophy that activates the relationship between the body, intention, and awareness, and returns the human to themselves through presence, not through indoctrination or imitation.
From the womb of this methodology, other methodologies and practices branched out that embody the idea from different angles such as:
Kinetic Blessing: A body language that connects intention with movement and remembrance.
Your Methodology: A path that enables each educator to build their own educational fingerprint.
Other programs in formation: Formulated from reality, and emerging from the same root. We don't sanctify frameworks, but we grow them from the soil we stand on. And what we build today is capable of growing tomorrow, as long as the roots are firm.

The Educational Vision We Start From

We don't see education as a process of knowledge transfer, nor as a field for testing skills, but as a journey of restoration, of what is authentic in the human, and what they are innately capable of in terms of learning, presence, and connecting between body, intention, and meaning.

We start from within: from your feeling, your body, and your voice. Because we believe that any knowledge that doesn't touch the body, and doesn't awaken awareness, remains suspended in the head, changing nothing.

We don't teach for the human to become just "more successful", but to reconcile with themselves, and know how to walk in life from a rooted logic, not from fear or imitation.

We accompany you as educational trainers. Because we believe that education is: to rearrange your relationship with yourself, with time, with others, and with God. And for this, we restore consideration to movement, intention, slowness, silence, and listening. Because everything around us stimulates "achievement", and we choose to grow the "human" first.
